I'm still having problems adding a bank account
 

I have yet to be successful on adding a bank account to the last 4 paypal accounts I have created. Every time I get a message stating:

'the server is experiencing difficulties, try later or contact customer service' trying at another time does nothing.

I assume it is something I have done wrong, would someone be able to help me as to what?

I have left adding the account after various amounts of time, this last one was 5 days after creation. I have just been burning them and moving on but would really like to get to the bottom of this.

What type of account?

A lot of the time when I hear of this "glitch" it is a savings account that is being added.

Yep im adding a halifax online saver account. I thought these were ok? Are we now suggesting full current accounts now?

We have said for ages to avoid the savers because of the issues that can happen.

A basic account or current is your preferable option.

ideas change, Kiroshi.

Back in the day, we only ever recommended current or basic accounts.

These as you know allow the direct debit mandate & thus minimise paypal troubles.

Users tried experiments & managed sometimes to add savers.

But, honestly, for the grief & bank conditions imposed, they are a poor cousin.

i got natwest saving and its works just great no issue whatsoever

No worries :) just go to current accounts moving forward :thumb:

Ah ok cool. Its odd though as ive been using halifax saver accounts until now with no issue.

The ones that are already in place receiving funds wont be an issue I assume, they just slipped through the net so to speak?
