No More Requests For Service ??
 

I do the odd bit of work online and i usually just log into paypal and send a money request ticking the box for “service” (not for goods).

Today i tried but there's no option to send a request for a “service” with this new layout and the only option i had was to enter the email address and the amount without being able to choose what it was for (i think there was a bit to put in a description).


So have paypal done away with the option to request money for a “service” or am i missing something ?

If the sender selects "No delivery address", this is effectively sending money as a "service" as no tangible items are being sent to the address.

US PayPal your still able to write a message to the recipient, with the new lay out, strange that they took that option away

I usually pick up my inventory from my supplier and select no address, so now with many retail stores accepting paypal. No address can mean pickup as well

So they have taken the option away then and it not just me missing something....lol

You can still add a description but it doesn't make any difference.

It was handy the way it was before because you could make a sort of invoice that was already set up as service.

I've had a seller before ask me how they are meant to pay the invoice, and when i say to click the pay button they say oh yeah. so trying to get them to remove the address would be a pain in the a**....lol


I even tried clicking the send/request link at the top of the screen and then clicked the classic site at the bottom left of the screen, but all that did was show the old classic layout to send money not request it :(

i just clicked it like i normally do and it went thru as usual.

My paypal gives 2 options for sending money....... "I'm paying for goods or services" or "I'm sending money to family or friends". I have heard others tell me that it is noticed by paypal if you constantly 'send to family or friends'. But, paypal takes less notice if you use 'paying for goods or services'. Anyone else heard this?

It's not the sending money that's the problem, it the requesting money.

Before you could put a tick next to what you was requesting money for ("good" "service") but now it just sends the request without giving any options :(

I thought i would give it a while but it seems that paypal still haven't fixed this :(


I even get to the point of the send/request screen but as soon as i click the "classic site" at the bottom of the screen, it changes to the old "sending money" screen and asks if i'm "sending" the money for goods or a service.

I need this screen on for requesting money.

Is there any loop holes to get the old screen back?
