Need more info please. | My 2 stealth Paypal have the same problem, on the they are limited, it says that it is limited to access and need to confirm ID but go to the resolution page, it isn't asking for any information like confirming your id etc. And i have these 2 stealth for nearly one year safely and have done any thing to it, just suddenly got all limited.
The accounts seller told me that Paypal now ebay and paypal are becoming far better at detecting stealth accounts and documents. They are now working with 40+ companies that deal with customer identification and fraud prevention.
After the new account i bought from him this November is limited as well and he gave me another new stealth but now i have no confidence to use it at least before xmas. And i asked him if this one is limited again what shall i do, then the seller has not replied me since :(((
So is that true, the stealth is not working any more?? i hope that it is just this period time before xmas.
And what shall i be careful from with this new stealth?
Thanks very much in advance |
| momoko | 11-30-2014 06:26 AM | It is on the same day 15th November as the other limited Paypal users :((
Paypal even did not send any email about the limitation or inform about the funds which will be released after 180 days, just simply limited, so my anther question is if i will get the money in paypal back?? :((( |
Re: PayPal limited but eBay still fine same here after i provided them docs i got perpant limitation. i guess they are working on the new method |

One thing is for certain though, a lot of UK people are having accounts limited. You wont get hundreds of people posting them here though because 1) some people will shrug it off and move on 2) not everyone who uses stealth uses this site and 3) some infrequent users of eb or pp may not even know yet.
And if this is happening in the UK you can be certain that it'll happen elsewhere as soon as they can implement it. Stealthing just got a whole lot more difficult. |

| crazyinside | 12-02-2014 09:39 AM | Re: PayPal limited but eBay still fine Maybe it's a wrong thread for this question, but I'm itching to know.
Guys do you dispatch items or inform the buyers when Eboy/paipal limit your account?
In my case I just turn back to those fallen soldiers. For example, when paipal limited my last ac I had 70+ parcels waiting for dispatch. So I sent them an email asking what should I do with all "their" customers?...I am still waiting for their reply to take action (it's been more than a month) |
| JamesNorth101 | 12-02-2014 09:45 AM | Re: PayPal limited but eBay still fine If customers have paid for the items then you need to post them or refund them.
Simple as that |
| crazyinside | 12-02-2014 10:06 AM | Re: PayPal limited but eBay still fine Yes, that is the rule. BUT! If paipal limit your account with your money for at least 180 days and giving you a hint that you may never get your money back.
Technically your paipal received the money, but you don't have them. What do you do then? |
| JamesNorth101 | 12-02-2014 10:13 AM | Re: PayPal limited but eBay still fine Either refund the buyers or wait the 180 days to get your money.
No other options. |

| crazyinside | 12-02-2014 07:07 PM | Re: PayPal limited but eBay still fine Well, the funniest thing is I can't refund the buyers. If you experienced recent "ID" ban you will know that they take ALL the rights, even to refund. Before limitation it was a very well established TOP rated account.
In my eyes, it's their customers now. When they were my customers I cared and treated them well. But hey I asked them what should I do with them and they did not even bother to reply. If they treat me like a sh*t, then I can't care less. It's their sinking ship now.
I'm just wondering how many accounts like mine are there. 100? 1000? 10000? If there are more than a 1000 seller accounts left in a state like mine....then OH BOY! 7000 - 10000 customers will not receive Xmas gifts and loose trust in ebay?! Sounds worrying!
P.S. I know that after many opened cases and long waiting they will get their money back. |
| FlashingBlade | 12-03-2014 04:00 AM | Re: PayPal limited but eBay still fine Crazyinside is right
The last limitation I got removed the ability to give refunds. Not sure what PP expect you to do to be honest. |

| niceneasy | 12-04-2014 03:23 AM | Re: PayPal limited but eBay still fine I also received the same limitation on paypal the 2 days ago so i decided t call them immediately to see what the issue was a there was no indication on how to remove the limitation.
The customer adviser mentioned that they require additional information ( id , etc) and she confirmed that they already had my details on file. Unfortuantley she said she was unable to provide further information and i should write an email to paypal asking what to do in order to resolve as the matter is dealt with by their back office staff . I have sent the email and it has been 24 hours and still not reply except for the automated reply message.
I have also recently updated a new card to pp stealth as the previous one expired last month. I have now once again loogein into my pp and its now request for verification and to provide the expose numbers. Is this normal when simply updating new credit card details?
could this be the reason why my paypal has been limited ( i hope) as oppose to what is happening to others on this post?
How long does it takes for these expose number take to appear on entropay statement ?
Any input would be appreciated guys |

Hiya. This is probably not the norm. But I had an ebay and paypal account. Paypal got limited. Ebay still ok.
What I did was, on that user desk top, I have removed all the paypal linked (reimbursement method, automatic payments etc) to the active ebay. Changed email, address , and username. I also then cleaned the history and cookies
I then immediately opened/created another user desk top with a slight change of name.
Opened a new paypal account also with a slight change of name (ie john, instead of jon). I linked this new paypal with the new email address,, and all address including new phone number to my old ebay. Its now working well. Its now been a few months running smoothly. | I await your post in tears when you have money stuck in it. Short term solution and only to be tried at your OWN risk. |

I just tried and had a go for it and it worked. Like what i said, its probably not the norm, but more of a glitch. I thought we were free to share our own experiences here.
With this in mind, I always withdraw regularly from that account and leave no more than £150 at any one time. I leave there what I can lose.
I am just sharing my experience. with the OPs question and stating my personal experiment. Thats it. Its not an advice. The worse that can happen is I lose that bank account. But at least I can earn a bit more than starting again from 0 feedback on ebay.
To some extent, we have our days numbered on all our ebay and paypal accounts. Sometimes, for no reason, paypal gets limited (just like whats goin on on the 15th of 29th november) or ebay gets suspended even with 100 percent positive feedback. We just try to earn as much as we can on the accounts that we can keep active before they kill us again. |

| Forcefire | 12-05-2014 08:01 PM | Re: PayPal limited but eBay still fine I too got my account limited 2 days ago without a reason, no problems on the account, all funds for valid eBay transactions and no disputes etc. When I rang up customer service I was told that the account didn't show a reason and that they would ask the team behind it to contact me via email to let me know whats required, chances are it was just documents etc.
2 hours later I got an email saying my account would be closed and my funds held and released over a period of up to 180 days, been reviewed every 30 days for release. This really p!ssed me off as I have just over £300 which I didn't get chance to pull.
I again rang customer support, they had a look and couldn't understand why so told me they would email the "back office" to ask why and I would get an email. Well after 24 hours I heard nothing so I rang back and complained. The guy this time looked at the account, contacted the review poeple and asked why my account was closed, nobody could understand why it had been closed so reopened the account and took it back to the review request. Now I need to submit ID documents, supplier invoices and proof of delivery of the goods I've sold. This is not a problem as I can get ID doc's and make invoices and actually have proof of postage cert's from Royal Mail.
Seems odd that PayPal would put my aco**** in review for document request, not actually ask me for documents and then close my acount when I ask what do they need, seems very heavy handed for a new account with no single transaction over £5 and considering my eBay account is in perfect health, DSR is 5.0/5.0, feedback is 100% and eBay just increased me from 10 to 50 then to 150 items in a 45 day period and my account is above standard.
Seems PayPal are just determin to p!ss new customers off which seems silly since its the customers they earn money from, lol. |

any suggestions shall i call them , they will probably ask for ID etc which i cant be bothered with now, and just wait out the 180 days ?
Thanks |
| Forcefire | 12-07-2014 11:19 AM | Re: PayPal limited but eBay still fine Well not sure whats going on now, just got another email saying my appeal was refused and my account will be closed.
Funny how they asked for documents yet I haven't had chance to upload all documents and once again they have closed my account. Not sure whats going on or why PayPal are closing perfectly healthy accounts or new accounts, seems odd that they would just close my account without asking for documents, then asking for them and then closing again.
My other accounts are all OK and trading fine, no emails, closures or anything.
Ohh well I'll get my money back no problem but looks like its time to open new account, shame really as my eBay account was doing great and ebay were upgrading me as I'd done really well. |
