Halifax Microdeposits
 

I just opened another Halifax saver, "Everyday saver" to be precise.

Sent the Microdeposits immediately, saw the 2p go into my account great I though. I then went into the account and the code is not showing.

I think I recently read a thread here where someone had a similar problem, ended up having to call the bank(halifax perhaps) and get the code that way, and apparently the bank worker was reluctant to give the code. Can't find the thread.

If you just opened the account today, the code won't show until tomorrow at the earliest, maybe Friday.

Worry not.

Thanks Pong, was surprised as usually it's there straight away. I just found that other thread though and it appears that some people are having to call halifax to get the accounts added

Yeah, I use Halifax and bank of Scotland a lot. If you open the account a day or two before, deposit and code show straight away. If you open the account on day of deposit, you'll get a 'transactions cannot be shown' error or words to that effect for a day or two.

Yes, that was me.
It was for Nationwide savers account i had a nightmare with.
No problems with halifax. Probably one of the best banks out there :-)

Yeah i agree, I have a Nationwide current account but do not use their savers for stealth.

Halifax and BOS are superb. Closing a savings account in your online banking is very handy.
