UK PP limited 28th Dec

Hi,

Just thought I would share my current limitation by PP.

Single UK PP and EB acc purchased from here.
Selling low value items from £3 - £10. Non vero items
Built up feedback and sold for only 1 and half months.
Recently got top seller status.
PP EU limit removed by submitting docs purchased from here which were accepted and limit was removed approx 3 weeks ago.

Slowly withdrawing £100 a day or every couple of days due to busy xmas period and seeing how many of other peoples PP were being limited.

No linking took place. All IP's logged, new usb dongle used, new windows user account used, flash & cookies wiped, new bank used.

Logged into PP on 28th Dec to see the limitation message - "this cannot be appealed against"

Also had an email from PP stating limitation and stating they will review my PP and decide if remaining funds can be withdrawn now or if I need to wait 30 days or 180 days.

Only ran a single account due to limitations being handed out. Did not want to risk making/buying another account until new year or when we have a better idea of how to move forward.

I take it that it would be useless to try contacting PP about this limitation?

Was the 28th a bad day for anyone else?

Theres your answer, docs uploaded.

Good to know its around 3 weeks back log though from docs being uploaded till they are looked at by the third party

I advise all to stop selling before they go over £1950 till there is a workaround found, otherwise the account will be toast and whatever is in there stuck for 180 days.

Contacting through email helped me, however most say not too. Judgement call.

U must have sold LOTS of 3-10£ items over the first month to have started doing £100 withdrawals every day or couple of days...

To become a top rated seller in only 6 weeks is enough to attract unwanted attention from ebay's prying eyes to your account as well, the idea is to start off slowly and give the impression of being a new seller just starting off on ebay, you must have had lots of listings to get those sales that quickly, also you don't want to be wiping the cookies, ebay needs to see them on your account, the 28th, the date your account got limited was the date before the new paypal/ebay policies officially started so you could say it was a bad day for us all in the UK !

Don't you have to go over 100 sales first for 'top rated status'??

That is NOT the answer!

Users have reported losing accounts without docs uploaded

Agreed. Document submission / approval is only part of the problem.

What happened specifically?

Everything should be clear and visible on the documents. Do not obscure / cross out anything.

Why were you talking to a rep? Is that an EB or PP rep?

Re: UK PP limited 28th Dec

@ RosieTosie

I am very away of the many limitations over the past month or two. I have been checking this forum frequently and have been on edge waiting for this to happen to my account. The reason for my post was simply to inform others of my limitation and help provide info so that others can see if there may be a link to other limitations and perhaps this could in turn help us all with a way around it down the line.

I started selling a few auction listings slowly and only towards 1st Dec until now its been very busy. With only having a single acc and the Xmas demand the need to make some £££ was apparent.

Just to make it clear cookies were not cleared every time as I understand this is a bad thing to do. What I meant was that cookies were cleared once at the beginning of the process as per stealth guide instructions, when a new windows user was created.

I also want to add that in no way am I pointing the finger or blaming any of the account sellers on here as without their help I would not have progressed with myh first stealth acc. I understand the risks when purchasing an account and I am simply wanting to share my experience. Having taken so much from this forum I feel it is important to give something back so it may help us all find some sort of link with all these limitations.

Once again all your help and advice so far has been much appreciated. I will be keen to get back up and running soon.
