Any Updates On The New Rules

Hi guys

There was a load of threads about new rules kicking in on the 26th Dec but they have all been moved. :mod:

Have the new rules kicked in now and what's the outcome ?

Join the forum and eliminate your problem.

There is a reason why they get moved and not here for the open public AKA ebay and paypal to read.

But then wouldn't ebay/paypal just join to read what's going on ?

So if you feel the forums information is not worth the peti fee, then don't join.
Some give and some take.

I haven't

I think your missing the point of this thread.

I've not made this thread to bash the forum, i made it to ask how everyone is getting on with the new rules as ive not noticed any change (yet).

It has only been one day right?
There is several threads about this now.

You are missing what I am saying. I am saying it should ONLY be in the subscribed section. Lots of sensitive info.

I think it is pretty naive, in fact almost comical, to think ebay/pp are monitoring the public part of the forum but not the subscribed part.

Its kinda the same as writing a book with all the secrets in then selling it on the internet....oh wait! :)

I think it is pretty comical that someone wants the info supplied to paid members but does not want to pay the nominal fee.

...and that's fine but don't dress it up to be something it isn't.

Say, like you just did, that the more sensitive info is in the subscribers area, and if you want access to it then pay.

To say that you keep the more sensitive info in the sub area because you want to keep it from ebay/pp eyes is just bs though as they will obviously have access to it also.

People that say it just look fools for doing so, and sellers of the accounts lose even more credibility if they use that excuse.

Who is an account seller and what would an account seller have to do with this thread?

My opinion is that this information should not be for all eyes. If you want access to sensitive info then pay up.

I am just a member on this forum with an opinion. It is ok that you have a different opinion. Really, it is Ok :uk: I am quite aware not everyone likes or agrees me with me. I am OK with that :)

Keep in mind the title of this thread has been edited. It did say (Don't move) and quite frankly, it annoyed me, lol

I agree, sensitive info...and higher value info should be available to subscribers as a priority, and possibly exclusively...although info will eventually in time always flow down the ranks. I do not subscribe...and do not expect the same privileges as those who have.......so not sure we disagree at all on that.

My actual point was in this, and other threads, there have been comments that 'sensitive' info shouldn't be shared in the public forum for fear of ebay/pp seeing it. That is just plain daft as they could have and likely do have access to the subscriber forums also. Having a members only area with better info should raise subscriptions and money, I get that.....but saying that the better info is moved to the sub area so ebay/pp can not see it is just flawed.

Gotcha

They do look at each subscribed member before giving full access. I am sure that ebay and paypal both have access. I get that.

Really early days yet.

Again, I can only advise patience and discretion with what is written and spoken about.

Re: Any Updates On The New Rules

Right......

first off i didn't edit the title so that must have been a mods doing, and the reason i put "don't move" is because i didn't want a mod to see the title and either move or delete it when it was just a general question.

A while ago i made a thread and because it got interesting it got moved, i made a thread asking where it had been moved to and the thread got deleted, i think at the time i had a conversation with GB over it and since then i give help using other methods such as pm, skype....etc as i don't want to make threads that get moved so i cant access them.

But as i said before this thread wasn't about the threads being moved, i thought that there was going to be problems making new accounts as of the 26th Dec (the sign up was going to change) but i haven't had any problems, so i was asking on here what's changed?

Threads will be moved/edited/deleted at the Mods discretions.

If a thread contains sensitive information it will be moved to ensure methods last for as long as possible.

post 7 covers the answer to this.

But again this thread has nothing to do with threads being moved.

You're right in all that you mentioned, PayPal/ebay most likely can see everything in the subscriber section. But what the experienced members mean when they say that it's moved there so that it's not in public eyes it's NOT so that paypal/ebay don't see it, it's to limit the amount of people that see it so that the information and method being discussed can last as long as possible.

For example we don't discuss what VPN companies we use because if everything starts using it then PayPal/ebay will know most likely a lot of people using it in the future are stealth members. So it's things like this that can be talked about a little more freely in the subscriber section since it limits the amount of members that will see it. Same goes with a lot of other stuff
