Great Forum!...And I need help
 

Hello everybody!

I've been a full time stealth'er all my life but never actually thought about searching a community full of like minded people.

it's great! I've got loads to read lol


Okay, so here's my story:

I have a 4 year old Paypal account that has taken in almost £300,000.
all details are stealth, so completely random apart form the bank account which of course, is mine.I sell digital goods and have done well up until about a month ago when a couple of scammers decide they want there money back even after getting the service they paid for.

I have proof that I did everything they asked.

But because it's digital, paypal just don't want to know and decided to refund them which has left my account into a negative balance of over £10,000!

I don't intend to pay this back at all! I have closes my bsnk account in order to stop paypal helping themselves to my money and I've destroyed the VCC etc..

My question is:Will they ever be able to trace this back to me?

I'm asking because years ago I had a negative balance on my original paypal of £72 which i was unaware of and Debt Collectors range me up!I paid it in full because I didn't want anymore hassle. it makes me wonder how far these people will go to get their money eventhough they take money from others all the time!

I realise that account is toast but luckily I have backups I'm putting into action.

Shall i just move on, forget about it and work on building up these others

Two people claiming refunds put your account into minus 10k? the digital items you where selling cost approx £5k each?

No, one was for £7k and the other for £3k.

In case you're wondering, I flip high end established websites with traffic and revenue.

You really need to look at another method of receiving payment.

That sort of ££ into PP will nearly always end in tears.

I understand that now.

But in terms of paypal coming after me?

Is it possible?

£10k could put quite a dent if it hit my credit report and make debt collectors pretty persistent.

well if you can prove you did as you said then just let paypal take you to court if it comes to it? Can't see how they'd win

You can bet that they will come after you for that sum of money. And hard.

If you owe it then you will need to pay it unless you can get the case overturned.

no way in a million years I'd be paying them 10k if you've given away 10ks worth of websites

i advised what to do yesterday but post was removed, it might be onthe email log you get sent.

Go see a brief, explain the situation fully, take their advice , I imagine you would be happy with what I imagine they will say ;)

So all this is about is getting the forum to say yeah, good job to yip off paypal for £10,000?

The forum can say whatever it likes, I asked for opinions and that's what I got.

I'm not ripping anybody off; that money is rightfully mine.
