Raising limits

Somebody pointed out to me recently that, a new ebay account whether real or stealth will start off at a reduced selling amount say, 10 items at £650 a month as we all know and the selling amount and earnings creep up as we go along. My friends account is now at around 60 items a month at around £6000 limit in sales (private account). My question is, if he does not mind selling below £6000 a month in sales, will paypal still ask for doc's or will they just ask for them if he decides to lift limits on the account. :noidea:

How did your friend get over the £1900 limit? Presumably his is a real account in his own name and details so he had no difficulty sending in the required proof of ID requested at that point, how old is his account as well? Always interesting to come across someone in the forum who is having some success, interesting he has kept it as a private rather than a business account as well

Real or stealth details on a new account is subject to limits as ebay wants to see that your trustworthy.
Sell slow...low value....max out your limits and ibcreases will.come naturally.
The same applies for aged accounts that has sat for a while.
Eg...if i have an account say 2 years old with very few sales and last sale was several mobths beforehand. I couldnt rush in hammering that account as ebay qould see that as unusual activity. I would have to treat that account like a new account if you catch my drift :-)

Re: Raising limits

Paypal require docs once you hit £1650 in sales per year.

It has no relation to your selling limits on ebay.

My friends account is real about a year old, but not sure how he got to that limit as he stated to me he had not uploaded any docs. Sounds strange to me too but i did not want to pry in to his affairs. Basically you need docs once you hit £1650 in sales per year. Thanks for the info everyone. :)
