Again NO ISSUES with ebay etc and had not sold much at all

bought off here, Limits already removed.

no activity for first 30days, sold few items only in last couple weeks, got feedback etc

some 'branded stuff yes' but I don't consider them very risky as theres SO MANY selling them, and LOADS of 'new acc's' selling them. also had sent with tracking, got feedback etc

Stealth is Perfect, NO links whatsoever. ebay is Fine

will do. theres nothing too lose by contacting them... only very small amount in it.

imo they are DEFO having all docs checked by the new companys, and I suspect more so if the docs have been sent in from the start / before any activity??

could be ebay instructing them to check, or pp just doing it by themselves?


and ever sent email to the "executive office for PP UK" if so, is there Template available?

I don't EXPECT to achieve much at all, but would be interested to see after reading all the posts by USA users who got funds realeased using this method.

Well yes, better not to expect too much where paypal are concerned. So you want to get funds in a limited paypal account released before the 180 days, is that correct?

That's the general advice Johnquango give it a go and see what the response is, have you contacted the account seller to see what their advice was on this one ? It appears to have been doomed from the start unless you can bring them around to your way of thinking!

Who was the seller and when did you buy the account? Were the limits already removed?

acc was 'fairly new' and limits already removed yes.

Remember that checking docs is only part of the new anti fraud measures by third party investigation companies, the credit checks also mentioned in the new policy I feel may also a big factor, Im wondering how this is overcome?

Not necessarily.
If the account was new, then waiting 30 days and listing sone branded stuff was perhaps not a good move.
Im no expert but sometimes, depending on what brands were listed, may have been too soon.

OP was it an aged account or new account? What brands are you talking about or at least what category?

I have had some success on UK accounts getting funds released before 180 days using the following:

YOUR DETAILS: (your specific case number and reason for account limitation)


I am respectfully requesting that the hold on my funds/account be lifted. I am not necessarily requesting that my account be re-opened or allowed to continue to use the PayPal service, as I have already taken my business to your largest competitor and I am no longer in need of PayPals services.

I have previously requested a review/appeal of my case which was denied. Although I still disagree with the decision to deny my appeal I will abide by it – however because I feel that holding my funds for xx days for a non-fraudulent violation of PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy is excessive"

It should be noted that the actions of Paypal against my accounts was both factually incorrect, and that the withholding of funds for 180 days is unacceptable and disproportionate.

I require a response from Paypal within one month of the date of this email, failure to receive a response will result in a formal complaint being made to the CSSF in Luxembourg.

Sometimes it works, worked for me once (slightly more intricate email that that though) but the second account, failed and got the final response mail (this means they are ending discussion with you and you will wait the full 180 days)

When they do this, they actually give you the details of the financial ombudsmen and the CSSF in Luxembourg.

Could the items be considered risky OP? Lot of factors can kick in for an account to be limited out of the blue...

anyone know if putting '141' in first before Calling Paypal will keep your phone number 'hidden' from them??

really wanting to call them over this one, but am concerned that they prob got some sort of Software to Bypass anyone using '141' and they would still be able see your Phone Number...

we all know how crafty they are / and they like to break the rules themselves....

I was gonna click the 'call us' link while logged in PP

I thought this is the only procedure when you want to discuss ur account cause it generates the code that you need to enter at beginning of the call

I'm not sure what format number it will give me, tho I'm sure it'll start 08

As far as I am aware that is only the case for toll free numbers in the US

In the UK using 141 from a land line will block your number (as far as I have ever known). It will not work for all mobile phones though.
