Paypal UK Limitations
 

Hello all,

Been reading bits and bobs about accounts being limited because identity checks are being made randomly. Or something like that.

Been away from the forum for a while until early this year so not too sure what exactly the problem is with UK paypal accounts which have not being verified , by means of lifting the yearly receiving limit.

May have also being affected by this , because I lost one paypal account, which was linked to my ebay , out of the blue. Ebay account is still standing though.... however I am not too sure


Would a paypal account which has been verified with documents still be vulnerable to these checks which can result in limitation?

I believe so, Yes. Paypal are now utilising third party agents to check documents, so even if they pass on the first upload, it doesnt mean they arent scrutinised in more detail at a later time

Still vulnerable and at the mercy ( or lack thereof) of paypal


Not trying to dampen your hopes. It is early days still with actions from paypal after the purges that started mind November 2014.

Senyo, the eBay account is toast too, since you will not be able to add a new paypal to it. You may as well get STEALTH and move on with new accounts

Yes it will be.

eBay account will also no longer be of use as you cannot add in a new PayPal to the eBay.

Oh Yeah I have three ebay/paypal accounts going.... my main which 44 feedback/100% , is the one I am mainly on about in regards to whether it will be vulnerable to further checks,even if I sent docs to verify my paypal....

But I understand that they are not immune or of less interest to paypal once verified according to what you guys have said, which is a shame, but I guess it all depends on how you run the account too....

You can still use the ebay account to sell on ebay.com and ebay.de etc... basically anywhere except UK and FRANCE> Just de-select paypal at the listings screen. When the buyer wins/buys, they will contact you to arrange payment using alternate methods etc.....

Always create backups and have them going OP - no PP is completely safe :(

Wow interesting I didnt know this... I have German bank accounts which I guess I could use in that case to sell ebay.de ...

So do you have to add your bank details to ebay ? or do you state on your description that you only accept bank transfer and that the buyer should contact you once payment has been made ?

yes its true, but i have problem with this, if your name on bank account is
"Big Daddy" and your ebay name is " Huge Worm" You will get Transfer but on same thay Bank refuse it and send back to Sender, I talk on "postbank" its big problem. maybe only postbank giro konto is problem ?

I have a postbank giro konto aswell which has never been used with ebay and paypal , but my sparda konto has been used with an ebay germany/paypal germany account.... but doubt I can use it because ebay.de and ebay.uk all the same .....

What about skrill ? do people use it a lot to buy on ebay ?

Ok Ive just tried to list an item and it looks like I need to add a bank account or paypal anyway to be able to confirm my identity and sell. Does anyone know if German savings accounts have their own sort code and account number or bic and iban?

yes i have done this by, ebay + paypal. confirm credit card or bank account, than list item small 10euro with paypal, if they not limit account in first 12hours account will go good. if not they ask of proff of adress and ID card.
next item you list only with "Uberweisung" and will go fine. but problem is with mismatch names.

All as I do is list on ebay.de or ebay usa and when I select how I would like to be paid for the item, I remove paypal, and just select merchant credit card. then when the buyer wins the item, you just contact them and work out a payment method outside of ebay.

OK interesting will try to do that and perhaps message them after sale for alternate payment methods

Hi all, i have been reading over the forums for a few weeks now preparing myself for stealth. One question i do have regarding the PP limitations is; Are the limitations random or does every account have to pass the 'fax us your documents'?

edited; found the answer a few threads down...auto flag when account hits certain limit...
