First item sold

So I sold my first item on my stealth account and all is looking ok. Obviously I have the 21 day hold on my account but my question is; is it based on a number off items sold or is it age of the account before these holds are removed?

Re: First item sold

Age + Dollar Amount + Number of Items Sold....from my understanding.

Re: First item sold

It should show it in your paypal account now.

10 items & 60 days if I remember right.

Just another quick question, what is this talk of the EU limits? Once I have done £1600-£1900 in sales they are going to quiz me as such?

You got it in one compo, that's it exactly!, you will either have to upload docs, or I think some people have had to ring in, or that might be for people who have tried ringing in to get limits raised and then get the third degree!!

Re: First item sold

Its automated so when you reach £1750 your paypal will flag for you to add documents, You can still receive money at this point but then when you reach £1900 and you still havent added docs, it will be limited until you do and you will not be able to use your account in any way until you add them.

Ok, so obviously my account is stealth, with a different name and different address. So when you upload the documents, which I assume will be a driving licence and Bank statement, do you doctor the address's and name?

I was calling on one of my stealth accounts to see about lifting the 21 day holds and she told me the new criteria is 90 days, 25 items and $250 is sales. IS this true?

Wait, as in you need to get 25 items which equals $250.00 in sales or only one? If it's both, that's quite a task if you sell smaller items, no?

The 90 days is probably about right, but I definately haven't heard anything about 25 items and $250 sales, unless that is for those of you across the pond in the USA, hope we don't get that over here!!

Ah, so it's not for the UK? I thought the 21 day hold was only after you completed the initial 90 days. Nothing more required and then it gets dropped. Am I correct, Rosie?

Yes, correct. Though possible that it may be quicker than the 90 days. All of mine were aside from the first 3 that never had holds at all.

Please note that the amount is not £1750.

When you have reached £1650, you will get notice.

It's no quiz. It's a request to supply ID.

You consider the options.

Woah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are some REALLY off replies floating around in this thread.

The 21 day holds can happen from the moment the paypal account goes active.

It can also apply to off ebay transactions.

If anything, 90 days can see the 21 day holds being stopped.

However, paypal can, and does, apply them if an account is perceived to be in trouble.

That's what I meant, GreenBean. I worded it totally wrong. You have the 21 days hold while the account is new and then if in good standing, after the 90 days they could potentially remove the limit. I understand that part. Just thought the 25/$250 limit was new and if it was part of UK accounts. Guess not though.

Don't forget - when holds are removed...they can be replaced at any time so never think a person is totally free when the hold is gone...

The UK does not work in $$$
So you can work out by that alone that these are obviously not UK limits..

New accounts are 10/£650 and 25/£750 at the moment in the UK.
