PayPal account name changes.Suggestion please
 

I wanted to verify my PayPal in order to remove the EU limit. Unfortunately, the name on the PayPal is not the real legal name and I do not want to use stealth for this account because its a long time ebay member even though it only just began selling like 4 months ago! Account is in good health.

Now, I think PP will not change the real name on the account, you are advise to open a new PP account instead.

I am wondering if there would be any issue If I open a new PP account so that I can use the real name. Also, I am concern if there would be any issue with the ebay account since I would certainly need to change that details too.

I need to shut this PP account for good before it is restricted.

NOTE: All the documents are legit (Mine) and verifiable.

What do I do please?

So it's not a stealth account, but it's not in a name that you have documents for?

Lets say, it was created by a friend who'd passed it on to me. Been used to buy stuff for many years. I just took it over as a proper seller account and been doing great. So, I want to verify it with real document as the account is now mine but I have eventually reached the limit.

I wouldn't change the name, send in documents that match the account.

If your friend cannot supply then someone here can.

Have you approached your friend to ask about using a couple of their documents to provide ID verification for this account. Because you have been running it for those 4 months it is likely that you may have problems trying to change any of the main details on it, or if you try to add a different paypal account to it as well.

I am thinking of the consequences if I close the account before it reaches the EU limit, remove it from my ebay and associate the new account to it. Would their be issues since the account was not flag or suspended before I closed it.

I already informed PP of this situation and even sent the new doc to them. (I probably wouldn't have sent em if I knew names could not be changed)

When I went to the section of the account where I wanted to change the name is a notice that you cannot chance account name. You can just open a new PP account.

The only real way forward is to leave the account like it is and provide documents, unless they fail of course.

You could ditch it and create another stealth which will also one day most likely require documents, which in turn would need to be doctored kind of putting you in the position your in now.
