Yes you can, there is nothing to stop you opening more accounts with them, except, how long ago it was since you last opened an account with them, you don't want to open to many to soon. Be careful with savings accounts as well, they must have a real account number and sort code and not all savers do. It is better to open current accounts with one of the main clearing banks, such as Barclays, Natwest, RBS, not Lloyds who don't like mismatching names.

I think it is a matter of opinion what type of account is best.

Why do you say current is better, personally I don't think it is, I think its the worst kind of account for PP

Definitely useable - it's a new account - bank code and sort code are no problem - many people have accounts with that bank. Make sure the savings is dd ready

DD is not needed, so don't worry about that

I have just verified two Paypals with two current accounts that worked perfectly, current and basic bank accounts are known to be the easiest accounts to get verified with Paypal. Whereas savings accounts are problematic and not always accepted by the platform, there have been many posts in this forum supporting that viewpoint.

Not all savers have acceptable account numbers and sort codes, and they don't all allow direct debits to be set up on them for linking to paypal to pay the monthly fees and also for the funds to be transferred out of paypal when goods are sold. Often as well savers only allow a certain number of withdrawls to be made from them over a 12 month period, so again not ideal for withdrawing funds from, some don't even have debit cards for cashing out your funds at cash points.

my point was is applying for Current accounts the applicant is credit checked everytime they apply, Basic accounts only use a credit score which is nothing like a credit check and the paper trails are erasable.

also, most saves are fine with PayPal just like most basic and current accounts, if you picked something like an ISA with a limit then that's just plan daft and the fault of the user , nothing else .

Savers do not have DD though.

Going to be really tough to be ready for summat they do not have.

Thought I would just add a suggestion of getting basic accounts rather than (more) current accounts.

Easier to get and mean you are not so closely looked at. ;)

Savers do mean paypal flags the account.

To operate well, in stealth, I try to avoid having paypal looking at my accounts too much.

So what you are saying, you'd rather few basic accounts with ONE bank and not one current account with added on savers?

Interesting... I thought it's easier to open a current account and just open savers with the same bank because it's easier to close saver accounts and reopen in the future?

Innnnterrasting idd.

I use only current and basic.

Have done that since 2007.

Never have bank issues from paypal.... never horrible emails that scare the cr*p out of me. Not had a need to close accounts in the UK to date, either.

Many Many savers do indeed have Direct Debits.

some don't

What everyone seems to have missed is that nationwide savers are no good for stealth purposes.

They use a special internal "account number" that you can't make outside transfers into (at least from paypal or another bank account as it doesn't possess a traditional sort code and account number.
