Paypal Verification 'Additional Information' Details?!
 

Hi Everyone!

I am in the process of setting up my new Paypal account and I am a bit confused as to all the new stuff you are required to provide, its changed a bit since I last registered with Paypal. Please can somebody tell me, do I need to have a Paypal Premier account to sell on eBay in the UK?

Also the section on verification that asks about: Business Type / Category / Average Monthly Volume, what am I supposed to put, I am trading as an individual and I dont have a VAT number / business name etc.

Can I still sell things up to a certain degree without lifting the limits on money I can receive?

Thanks for everyones kind advice, its just become such a minefield now that its very confusing trying to make sure I dont make any errors, I have worked through the eBay Stealth guide with regards to setting out all my details in an Excel file etc but there seems to be a lot of other things to be careful of besides what it says in the guide. I am just glad this forum exists to help out! Keep up the good work Aspkins!

Hi, I can only answer 1 question.

NO!!! You cannot. They can limit you when you received only £50 or even less although the maximum of received money is £1,000. If they wanna limit you, they will limit you. and when they limit you, you cannot sell anymore until you complete all steps you have to do to lift your limitation.

Thanks for your advice citypark, If anyone can answer my question on the 'Additional Information' section on the Paypal verification form it will help me out enormously, I am paranoid that I have selected the wrong type of account or something and I am making more work for myself than is necessary.

Just enter said 'Additional Information' the best you can, and you should be fine.

It's not a huge deal. Just follow what's in eBay Stealth, make sure not to link accounts and you should be okay. Good luck!
