Limited funds..linked account
 

So I received this in December last year. I have absolutely NO Idea how I have been linked to a random persons account but paypal aren't playing ball. I called them so many times and all they could tell me was that some info on my account matches this other persons. I did ask round friends and stuff (though I don't actually know anyone named Liam) and no joy still. I eventually got tired of being palmed off and wrote off the 300 pound I had in my account at the time of limitation despite being really mad that I was expected to pay some strangers debt for them before I could receive my funds

By chance, yesterday I have came across something about a '180 day rule' with paypal that apparently says they can't hold your money longer than this time. I figured I would log in and check if mine was withdrawable yet. Problem is, I no longer have the contact numbers on my account so I can't even get past the first screen where it says 'device not recognized' or whatever other rubbish it is. Have emailed paypal about this but in the meantime..how likely is it that I will be able to get my money back out of this crappy site? I stupidly believed the 'safest way to pay' etc rubbish they advertise as, when infact from my experience, its been the worst.

You should be fine getting your money back. Read around this forum about tips on how to proceed from here.

Ring them up but they wont give it to you if they suspect you owe them money on another account

Well they seem to be completely ignoring my emails. Don't see much point in ringing as I just get palmed off with 'we cannot tell you how the accounts are linked' etc etc, then told to email in. So they can't tell me what this apparently link is, yet they can withhold my money because of it. Seems quite ridiculous.

Hell I have even tried emailing the email address that is apparently linked to my account (its shown on the limitation screen) and got no reply :S

I have an option on there now of adding a bank account. But it says I will be unable to withdraw so whats the point

Called them again last night, same crap. Can't tell me why I am linked to this randomer but cannot unlimit my account until whoever the other person is resolves the issues on THEIR account :/

Was advised again, to email in. Despite telling them I had already done so many times and been ignored.

Ridiculous.

Did you try to talk to them on Facebook or Twitter. Make a stealth account and talk to them on there. I hear you get good results it's all execs working on social media worth a try!
