Does it cost me as a seller to receive money into my paypal
 
I sold a gift voucher on ebay but i also have £900 left to sell the buyer is interested in the rest he has made me a offer he wants to pay through Paypal which is fine but does it cost me money to receive it into my paypal account

Yes. In the UK, fees are 3.4% + 20p per transaction. If he sends it as a gift, between friends, you might be able to avoid the fees, but that could trigger a red flag at PayPal. Just because they advertise PayPal as being good for that, does not mean that they actually want you to do it.
