Need to pay a company with real credit card on paypal
 

Im having a website created , I will be paying £1,500 for this advanced website to be designed, so I really would like some kind of protection. The company has told me that they accept credit card via paypal. I have a STEALTH paypal account. If I pay this company (50% deposit) via credit card on paypal and add my REAL credit card details ,will that blow my cover? What other options do I have . I dont think they take credit card over the phone

Real card would fail the AVS checks so its a no go from the start really

Not at all.
Linking a credit card there are no name and address cross checks when you register like there is with a debit card hence why I use my own real credit cards with all my stealth accounts ( different card for each account obviously).

What it will do is make that card unavailable to use on any other paypal account ever.

The seller will receive the stealth details with the payment but its simple to contact them and give them your real details. I'm sure this site would say its risky but I've never had a problem adding my own real name and address as an alternative on paypal ( not when you open the account obviously). Once its added when you pay somebody all the addresses on the PP account are offered for you to choose.

This is how I am able to use my stealth paypal accounts to make genuine purchases from retailers who only accept paypal but who require my real details.
I guess that if PP select your account for close inspection and go through cross checking with limited accounts they could make a connection but I've yet to see them do that.

You are able to use your real debit card on PayPal even though the address is totally different? The card should not be able to make that payment

Or you are adding in your real address to the stealth PayPal accounts when making the payment?

If you use a DEBIT card to register that will fail.
If you use a CREDIT card that will work.

When you register a CREDIT card there are no cross checks with name and address.

I only use a DEBIT card to pay when using Paypals "pay by card" option. I assume the original poster could also use his credit card with that option and just use Paypal as the intermediary as many do who do not want to open paypal accounts

You can't add a debit card to a stealth account as it will fail the checks.

As an aside: any cards registered to a limited account cannot be used on paypal at all in any way. Even if you try the "pay by card" option as you would if you didn't have an account - any cards from the limited paypal account would not be accepted - which I think is very much out of order

You could take a real credit card and register it to your stealh pp and use it keeping in mind that this card can NOT be used again on another pp (not an ideal situation but it works)

Interesting.

Not sure that its a great method but if its works then thats pretty good.

It isn't ideal but I have done this during early time testing.

IF OP can....a better way might be to load an Entropay card with a high amount and use that but he might not have a great CC protection if something goes wrong.

It just wastes a credit card if you intend to open more paypal accounts
