PayPal UK Offshore Bank Account
 

I am currently withdrawing my PayPal balance into a non-resident Barclay bank account. Barclay isn't very happy with the large transactions going through my private banking. I am looking at the possibility of setting up a company and obtaining a Isle of Man business bank account or Channel Island business bank account. The question here is, does PayPal UK allow withdrawal to these offshore bank accounts? Any advise would be highly appreciated.

I am a non resident in UK hence obtaining another private / business bank account is close to impossible.

As long as it comes with a UK sortcode and account number there shouldn't be any issue.

The offshore accounts are still backed by the large UK banks (HSBC / Barclays etc) so I cannot see why you would have an issue.

However, I know there are a few that only have an IBAN instead of sortcode / acc number

Thank you for the advise. Does anyone know if a non-resident can apply for a business bank account in the UK?

If you want to get one easiest way to do it for a non resident is to speak with Turn/er Little Ltd

This is a bank that also issues you 5 " name what you will " Mastercards.

I made this account bcuz I was opening a UK Stealth acct.. but them Amazon wanted proof of address in UK as well as Passport or MDL, also lots of hassle with VAT tax so I abandoned that project.
I never did find out if Amazon would accept the account, but its real and I transferred $50 AU to it no problem.
If you go that way maybe you can update this post with results

They don't seem to mention non-residents anywhere on their website? Things like guaranteed bank account sounds pretty alerting, no company can guarantee a bank account as it's entirely up to the bank whether to accept the applicant or not. UK banks are very picky when it comes to non-resident without significant capital to deposit.

Do their prepaid cards come with UK-based bank accounts (with sort codes etc.) suitable for paypal withdrawals? If yes, are their account ranges not blacklisted by paypal like all US online banks or the polish prepaid cards from mbank?

You only have to Google them to see that they are a legitimate UK company, really not that hard.

I never said that they aren't legitimate, I just said that their guaranteed account offer might not apply to non-residents at all and their services could be targeted to British residents only.

That's why I told the OP to contact them to discuss because it doesn't openly say that on the site.

i can deposit large figure to open an account, six figure sterlings not a problem. Anyway i can get a business bank account?

Well I opened the account with my Aussie passport and Indonesian drivers licence.. My account address is in Indonesia.. so International accounts are definitely AOK.

Non resident private bank account is highly possible though not easy but what about business bank account? Does anyone know if some UK banks may consider my application if i deposit big figure?

£5-10k is usually a figure that comes up a lot for non residents. HSBC want a big deposit

Which bank is that? Did they require any significant deposits? Did you travel in person or were you able to open it remotely?

There is a new website where you can leave actual reviews of offshore banks, registered agents and formation services. www.OffshoreReviews.com. I was able to leave a review of an offshore bank I've used for many years.
