2nd bank account questions
 

I have opened a new paypal account a couple of months ago using a friends details.
They were never going to set up a paypal or ebay account and so allowed me to use their bank account and debit card to set up a new account which is in their name.

I have now done several transactions on this account and am considering making a small withdrawl.

This is where I feel it could get complicated and I would appreciate any help that you guys could give.

I have opened up a brand new current account with the Nationwide and have a new bank card and account details that have never been used on paypal before.

However this account and card are in my real name and not my friends name.

My question is:

Can I add the bank account to the paypal account as a second account. Using the correct bank account and sort code, but my friends name rather than mine?

Or again, Use my bank card details but put my friends name on it when inputting the details into paypal?

I thought I had read somewhere that paypal didn't cross check the names on accounts as long as the numbers were correct?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

( On a side note, I can simply withdraw into my friends account and then transfer the funds over to my own account using digital banking, but it would just be easier in the long term to swap it directly to my own account - hence the questions. )

Its always easier having your own accounts and not go through people.

Paypal will send two amounts and you confirm. Its not paypal that will check name. Its the discretion of the bank to check the name

As it is an account in such infancy, why do you not just scrub this account and set up a fresh stealth with the details of your new account?
