Hi I owe eBay money on my friends account. I haven't paid it yet (skint) does anyone know how long you get to pay? It went from UKPRE to UK100 and is on UK200 they have sent four UK200 emails.

What are these emails you are receiving?

The typical period is one month, however, if you do not contact them, they will use ebay to get your personal details and contact you by phone + post

i owed ebay 600 quid after they closed my account. The debt agency have been on my case got a few letters. I wrote back saying there is no one here with that name and someone has used my address fraudently I will contact the police blah blah and I havent heard from them again! Maybe there doing some more investigation who knows.

How could you owe that much money?? or you listed more than 100 items? For me, I could not list more items if the outstanding is more than £100.

Tell them to take a hike, if its in a different name, how can they proove?

Apparently its paypal that are a little more persisitant than ebay, but in any case, one should only start getting worried if they got the police to check your computer, and that takes warrants, it would also need to be serious money not £600 and would need to be financially worth it for ebay to pursue, I mean if they get it wrong, bad publicity and compensation.
