Fairly new to Paypal
 

Hi all

I haven't set up many paypal accounts and never got to the stage when they ask for more documents.

Generally to lift receiving limits what do paypal ask you to submit and how long generally do you have to wait?

To lift receiving limits: Paypal generally ask you to submit a valid proof of address and a valid proof of identity. For example a utility bill and a passport respectively.

As for the waiting time. If you submit the documents upon creation of the account - then you will have to wait a long time. I'd say on average about 10 weeks (if you're lucky) and even more.

If you submit documents when you reach the receiving limit then you'd be all checked up within 48 hours max.

Driving licence/ passport and proof of address such as utility bill - the wait depends on how near you are to the receiving limits.... unless you are close the consensus now is they wont look at it..
I waited 3 months on an account that had received around 1200

The waiting time is back down to 1 month now.

I just waited 3 months... and only then reviewed after contacting them...
