...guess someone might be in a similar situation! Anyhow the first few weeks did get sour however I managed to pull myself together and borrowed some money in order to resume business as normal. Came back bigger and stronger with 15+ accounts to replace the one I got f***ed over with! All thanks to Aspkin and the brilliant advice/ help you receive on this forum all are running well till date.

That means there must be a formula to avoid getting 180 days limitation otherwise you can't operate another 15+ accounts without 180 days limitation. You must have found the formula I think, or you got the 90% of the key something like that. And Aspkin, yes, it is the best forum of stealth accounts I believe, at least I have searched the final page of google regarding to this field.

50k in 6 months and NOT EVEN TRYING to withdrawl any of that? Who lets 50k sit in paypal? Lets say month 1 he got 10k. NO WITHDRAWL? Month 2, another 10k. Still no withdrawl? Month 3, another 10k. So NO NEED FOR ANY MONEY until month 5? Then you just decide, hey, I could really use 30k?

it could happen. One of my pp has 11k stuck inside, just because I sell in UK but my account is US and during last June the GBP dropping far too crazy, was so stupid to let the account rolling up without exchange it into USD and withdraw, hoping the rate will get better soon, after 3 months it got limited when 11K inside...

I don't get it. Why would this person make a thread with specific details if they weren't really in this situation? What exactly is the point of making a thread on a forum asking for advice on a situation you aren't really in?

Don't be jealous, lol. While I agree with others who've said it's moronic to leave this kind of $ in Paypal, I don't have any reason to believe OP was lying with their original post.

At the end of the day, you're the one calling a guy out on something posted over a year ago. :P

Really, it beggars belief that anyone would be stupid enough to allow 55k to accumulate in a legit paypal account, let alone a stealth account Lol. This thread should now be allowed to just fade away, unlike the lesson the original poster learned from the experience....

Those doubting the OP he didn't say 55k was profit being held in his paypal account. That's just his turnover/sales.

The real question is how he remained so calm and what he did to stop ebay sales continuing whilst account was limited ? ... are you still doing business on ebay ? how ? new address ? new bank ?

I just discovered this thread.

To the people who don't believe such things happen. Trust me, it does happen. Some people got huge amount of money locked by PP.

I myself currently have 44K euro on hold by Paypal, since 30 Days now.

I expected a release (maybe not 100% of the funds, but some) since their first mail advised me that the account would be reviewed after 30 days, but after a quick call, the PP staff told me that a "specific department", instructed them to don t release my money before 180 days...

The reason is : I'm suspected to own more than 3 accounts... It's true I had a old one that I closed several years ago but that's it.
They also believe my products are not fulfill the law.. but after offer to them to initiate a deep check on them with all paperworks, they weren't very interested and declined the offer (so I suspect the main problem is my old account)

Now I consider 2 options :

1- wait and see what happen after these 180 days
2- hire my lawyer to sue them.

The option 2 is costly. (it will require between 3 to 6K Euro), and might be useless since it may not fasten the process or even change anything to the problem (funds will likely be released anyway after 6 months )

I think I will go for the option 1 but send them a bailiff just to let them now I have a legal advisor on my side...

I think I would have a heart attack if that much money got frozen with no guarantee of it being released. Especially if they suspect the items you sell are fraudulent. Who needs HMRC / Trading standards to investigate when you have Paypal doing their job for them.
