180 Day Reset ??
 

Hi guys


A couple on months ago i sold a few items on ebay with a fresh account, as soon as i received the payments my account got limited (the usual ask for a load of documents and then say you've lost your appeal).

I've now just been waiting for the 180 days to be up so i can withdraw my funds.

A couple of days ago i received an email from paypal saying again that my account has been limited and for me to log in and do the required steps to get my account up and running as soon as possible.

When i logged into the account it just looked the way it did before only this time it didn't say that it couldn't be appealed.


So i called them up and the women said that there's a chance that they will lift the limitation and she would email the correct department to see what she could do.

The next day i received another email saying that my appeal had been refused.

Now my question is.........


Does the 180 days now start from when this appeal has been refused ?

The short answer is the 180 days starts the last day you received payment nearly 100% of the time.

From my experience it is 180 days from the date the limit was first placed on the account.
In many cases those dates coincide.

In the UK its nearly always from the date of the last payment into the account

Its done to prevent charge backs and the limit for charge backs is 180 days

I just wanted to make sure it didn't reset to the date they re looked at it.

That CAN happen but unless you are causing a reason for the hold to be extended, then no.

PP isn't known for being the fastest to act on deadlines and sometimes, it seems like holidays can interfere in my estimation
