Attempted to lift limits; now they want to depart company.

Been using this eb for 5 months, no issues till i used I..D. Now they refused I...D and banned.

####################
After reviewing your PayPal account, we’ve determined there to be excessive risk involved in doing business with you and we’d like to begin parting ways in a manner that is least disruptive to your business.

If there is any money in your account balance, it will be held for 180 days (from the date of the last payment you received) to cover any disputes that might be opened by your buyers.

After 180 days, we may ask you to provide us with a proof of identity and a proof of address before you can withdraw any remaining balance.

If there are outstanding buyer complaints open against you, you can refund your customers via the Resolution Centre in your PayPal account.

We reserve the right to close any account reported to be involved in possible high-risk behaviour. In the event of a dispute, we’ll try to recover the money from you by debiting your PayPal balance first and, if there are insufficient funds in your PayPal balance, we reserve the right to collect your debt to PayPal by any other legal means.

We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter and regret any inconvenience it may cause you.

Yours sincerely,

It's the way the biscuit breaks sometimes pal.

Move on and make more accounts. Always remove the limits before selling much.

Afraid that PayPal and eBay are both now done and you will need to start again

Depends on how good what you submitted was plus they could of done a small account review. Anything untoward being sold on the account?

It's the risk of doing business with PayPal, move on and go again.

No disputes, just sold recently a AV receiver and a wing mirror from a car. I lifted limits using ID and 1 or 2 days later they closed the PP. It was down to the ID supplied.

Yep, will most likely have been the ID. I had 2 account shut down because of crap ID

Why even submit it then?

Same thing happened to me on an account bought from here with id supplied from same account seller on here as well, had just reached bronze Powerseller level, all for nothing as it turned out.

We had even legit ID turned down then a special one went through multiple times! Random really isn't it. I wouldn't even sell on it if id wasn't confirmed first save the heartache down the line.

Re: Attempted to lift limits; now they want to depart company.

I recently submitted docs and was dealt the same message 2 days later. Called PP to find out why they want to 'begin parting ways' and as suspected it was my 'legal I.D.' that didn't check out. I was told that the information couldn't be verified by the ****port checker they use. As time goes by naturally they are evolving and, dare I say it, becoming more sophisticated (cough, cough, splutter, splutter).

Had this happen once before your account is done.

How do you remove the limits before you asked by PayPal?

The thread is 4 years old........

When those posts were made it was possible to lift EU limits on day one.

Yes I figured that. Though I would ask anyway. It is something I wondered about for a while. Would you tell if it was still possible? or tell me how you used to do it? Think I figured how it was done when it was possible.

I am thinking that the best thing to do now is to pay eBay fees by some other means and never keep very much in your PayPal account? Until you pass the verification process.

No harm in paying fees via PayPal still
