New ebay & Paypal different names?
 

Hi, Iv just joined :) basically I started my own business, created an ebay account and got banned soon as I linked it to my paypal account that I had used with my personal suspended ebay account from a couple of years ago, even though it was registered at my previouse address.

Can I create the ebay account in my:D false name & the paypal account in myown name? the reason Im asking is because as Im setting up as a business I dont want to break uk laws by giving the wrong name or am I not breaking any laws?:D

PS I have closed my paypal account, a while ago now

Have you read eBay Stealth yet? If not read it. If you have, ready it again.

It's best that both your eBay and PayPal accounts are in the same name. You can use a nickname, or even your same name usually without an issue. It's the rest of your details that need to be different.

Hi, thanks for the reply I appreciate it, the problem I think I have is that my surname is a bit distinctive, are paypal ok with just entering an initial for the first name?

The paypal account name must match the ebay name whatever name you pick;)

an initial is fine
