How long will fund be limited for?
 

To cut a long story short, I had a paypal account about 6 years ago that got limited over an eBay dispute which paypal found against me (I was fleeced by the buyer basically)

So I made a new one up under a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ now and used it for years. With no issues at all.

Until February, when I sold some tickets on stubhub which totalled over £200. The event has passed now (was WWE Wrestlemania) and there were no issued with stubuhb or the buyer - everything went through fine via stubuhb,

But paypal wanted ID due to money laundering or something? Obviously my stealth name isn't my really name, so I told them that I needed to change my name (this was probably an error but 6 years on and an account with no issues I didn't envisage any issues)

But my account is still limited and I cannot withdraw my funds.

Will it be the full 180 days?

My post said £200. This was a typo. It should have said £2000

Basically you need to be creative and send them the documents they need otherwise you are looking at 180 days limitation - till the money is released - this date is from when the money hit your account BTW

Did you ever remove the EU limits when you set up the account? If not, then by hitting 2k in sales, you have triggered the soft limitation.

Provide them with what they request. Be creative with documents. If not, 180 day hold

You are underestimating paypal.

Did you submit documents and did you get any response?

Please let me know the answers.

If no response, you will not get funds.

I told them that I'd opened it with an email address and it had put my name in wrong in error.

IT put your name in in error! What will your reply be if paypal ask who/what is this IT??????

They have heard this story before..

Would have been much easier to submit creative documents... but I guess you've learnt your lesson. Best thing to do now would be start from scratch again.

Regarding your old account, Paypal may release it earlier if they think there is not much risk involved anymore. Normally they review your account again every 30 days.
