New verified account but can't withdraw funds...
 

OK, I've bought a Verified UK Paypal account and today I added a simple Metro Bank account to it. After accepting the details, PayPal immediately sent a 3p deposit with a confirmation code which I then submitted and it was accepted. I've now received payments from several non-eBay customers, however, when I go to withdraw funds from my balance to the aforesaid bank account, first it redirects me to the Classic Site, then it tells me my device has not been "recognised" (I'm using a Mac with a Wifi box btw) and finally it tell me I need to verify the account. Although I'm selecting the option to do so, nothing appears to let me do so, instead a dialog box comes up headed Security Check saying they're sorry but they can't verify my account. Are they meaning the attached bank account or my actual PayPal account? What has gone wrong? Can anyone advise?

Handy, thanks! But I end up down a blind alley with no option to proceed with verification. How do I break out of that cycle?

Follow that thread, then we can discuss options out of it if it doesn't work.

It's because you are trying to withdraw money too quickly from an account with no previous transaction history.

Either follow the advise in the thread that's been mentioned or wait 72 hours and try again on the withdrawal.
