UK Bank Account as none UK citizen for UK Paypal
 

Hey Folks,

I've bought a high limit ebay and paypal UK from elmo here about 3 month ago, because my main ebay account wnet down and so I wanted a second account for certain sales.

Long story short, in order to secure the UK paypal account I'd like to add a Bank Account to it, though it is almost impossible to find a UK bank that allows people from other countries then the UK to actually open a bank account with them. There are actually some available, though I would need to commit at least 6.000 GBP despoits per year as a foreigner. Smile.co.uk that is.

So I was wondering if there is any safe and easy bank that allows foreigners to open an account in the UK?

Hope someone can enlighten me here.

Monese will let you open a bank

There are issues adding it to PayPal UK though for withdrawals

£6000 per year in sales is £116 a week in sales.... can you not see yourself hitting that figure OP?

Wow, thanks a lot for these damn fast replies.
Well 6000 could of course be achieved, though I'd rather don't like having money laying around in another country if you understand what I mean. It actually would just been used to secure the paypal account in the end. So I'd rather have it as the last option really.

I've created a Monese account and tried linking it to my uk paypal account, though it isn't accepted. I guess the sort code of Monese got blocked by paypal.

Is there another option like Monese that still works with paypal?

What are the odds if I'm not adding a bank account to the paypal account?

When my good standing ebay account went down down, my paypal account didn't and I'm using it still with one of my ebay accounts without problems. But this is probably because the ebay account got taken down by ebay.com and I'm only using my old paypal account with another ebay account on ebay.de. Could I just add another email address to my paypal account and use this on my fresh uk account or do they pull any data from paypal and if I start selling on ebay.com again with that account they could take both accs down?

Any help in this regards is much appreciated.
