Either way is fine. If you give it before your reaching the EU limit, dont expect them to review it and get back to you for several weeks. I have had it take 45 days once.

| Not strictly true.
If you submit documents before you hit the £1650 trigger then it can take around 5 or 6 weeks.
If you submit after the account has done £1650 the review takes place in a few days (usually).
The EU limit is approx. £1800 to £1900, depending on the exchange rate to the euro.

Yes that's what I meant. right before you hit the trigger it can take several weeks for them to review the documents. However as you near the trigger amount, that review time is drastically shortened and it could take a matter of days.

It may well have been what you meant but it definitely wasn't what you actually said which is why I posted.

Always have a chat with them as well, ask them how their day is going. They must get so many ****e phone calls so helps to be nice

Unfortunately what Play originally posted wasn't entirely accurate. Most folk on here (including him) were able to see that. Based on your comment, you don't seem to understand the point that was being made. Quote:

| The EU limit is approx. £1900.
There is a trigger amount of £1650 when Paypal will request documents.
If you submit documents after the trigger amount of £1650 then the review will take just a few days. Play's post inferred that you had to take £1900 before this would happen.
After £1650 but before £1900 the account remains fully functional which means any funds can be removed before the documents are sent in. After £1900 the account is limited and any funds in there are locked until the account is reviewed. If the review doesn't have a favourable outcome then the money is held for 180 days (perhaps indefinitely).
These differences may not matter to you but for people regularly using UK stealth accounts, they most certainly do.

Definitely didn't say the same thing at all.
For basic users or newbies, both posts tell you completely different things and users would of got confused at the process with the original post from Play.

What I said was completely different to what Play said in his original post.

Now, unless you are now actively selling with paypal UK, maybe let this go?
Inaccurate info suxs.
We escaped this in this instance. |

We're not perfect, we're always learning. This thread in itself was a learning curve for me. I know as you approach the EU limit, the document reviewing process is prioritised and expedited by PayPal, but I didn't know £1,650 was the trigger limit.
All in all, everyone has made some good points here, and I think we should leave it there.
Most of all, lets hope the OP is happy with the answer.
