Lifting Receiving Limit - Now or later?

I've had this account linked with eBay for a few years and had no problems.

Always been pretty steady sales but nothing of extremely high value. Basically, I've never had to think/worry about the receiving limit.

Now I'm changing my product line, I'm anticipating larger sales. I have about £1000 left until November it's not enough.

Do I send documents in now without being prompted, or do I start selling and wait for PayPal to ask for them?

Thank you!

I would start selling, hit the £1650 or get closer to £1900 then submit them.

Prepare for a few weeks wait otherwise. Withdraw funds slowly before submitting documents, edge on the side of caution with PayPal :thumb:

Good luck

Vetus is right.

But I take the contrary option to send everything in beforehand, that way the account starts strong. IMHO, it pays off.

Both have good reasons. You just choose what fits you.

I'd agree with vetus here.

Sell until you've taken £1650. Withdraw the money and submit the documents. They'll be reviewed in a few days.

If you submit before £1650, you'll wait 5 to 6 weeks.

I submit documents, ring paypal and say "I just wanted to make sure they had uploaded correctly as I had WiFi issues" and the say "Wait a min I will check" - Come back about 5 mins later saying "all done and the limit lifted".

I have done this about 10 times without problem - Just be friendly on the phone, have a chat with them etc - Anybody with a "normal" account wouldn't be scared to ring PayPal etc!

Exactly!

Sometimes I think people on here forget that. With the "never call ebay/paypal" etc.

End of the day it doesn't always work that way with PayPal

Ringing does work, try it on 10 accounts in 1 day and report back :thumb:

Thanks for all the responses!

I think I'll take the advice and continue to sell until the documents are requested.

Ebayorbust, I may be calling on you in the future :thumb:
