Account limited after submitting documents told account being closed???

I submitted documents to paypal after account was limited due to EU limit and received notice saying paypal had refused my appeal and were starting to close my account and funds would be held and account would be looked at on monthly basis to assess paypal's exposure. this was 4 months ago i have received no further emails and account is still limited, 180 days is october, my question is will i receive notification of funds being available for withdrawal on the 180th day???

i would be grateful if someone could give me better understanding on what happens t

thanks in advance

Short answer is yes, but do not call in otherwise 90% of the time you will be asked to send in another DIFFERENT pair of documents to retrieve the funds.

Most the time you should get an email telling you that you can withdraw the funds

They can always ask for ID again though so bare that in mind.

Make a note of the date of the last incoming transaction to your account before it was limited this is the date it will be released - you should also receive an email as well

Mine closed the same as yours, I'm about 200 days and no email? They did email halfway saying it was in reserve and will be released but I've not had anything.

Don't really want to call in to be told to send docs (which already got me limited)

Any advice?

Key qn is: were sales (GBP equivalent of):

- exceed Euro 2500

OR

- over Euro 1800 but under Euro 2500?

Why does it matter if over 2500 Euro, or is there a different procedure if it is?

Over 2500 is a hard limitation and you have to provide documents for the account can be used again

Between 1800 and 2500 is a softer limitation and you have 180 days to provide the

Under 1800 no documentation is needed

In this case though since you had already been limited its a moot point

You can plaster them with messages through the message centre but that is very hit and miss
