Quick Question About CC About To Expire On Premier PP, Bank A/C Not Confirmed
 

Hi All,

Tried to search to see if I could find info but couldn't see a definite answer.

The CC on Paypal is about to Expire. Bank account is on there but not confirmed. The Account is Paypal Premier, Verified, around ten years old, with limits removed.

Will the Premier account still be able to receive/send with Paypal Balance or will the account be Limited without the new CC info? There's always Paypal Balance on there (I try to keep to a minimum).

The Paypal account holder has another "ordinary" Paypal which is about a year old, still ongoing with full details.

I can see a reply on a Paypal Forum saying, "If paypal is not linked to a bank account to take funds from, you will not be able to use paypal until it has a active funding source connected to it." which is a bit worrying!

It wont effect the account a great deal. If you have a new card to add then there is no harm in adding it.

Okay, was just concerned about the reply saying Paypal need an alternative funding source (but only Paypal Balance ever gets sent/received).

I know you guys don't recommend it, but it's a friend's Paypal - not huge amounts of money, more pin money!

Don't want to risk them limiting it out of the blue - I know when a CC expires Paypal bug you every time you log in to update it.

As the Bank Account isn't confirmed either, just wondered if that was a cause for concern. I can ask for their CC details, just they're harder to get a hold of now they have a new romance ongoing and if I can leave it as-is then it means I'm not bugging them :P

Sorry to post again, just need confirmation.

I see a post from "Paypal Adrian" from 2011 saying -

"The status of "Verified" depends on meeting and maintaining one of two things:
1) Having a confirmed bank account on file; or,
2) Having a PayPal Smart Connect, Extras Mastercard, or eBay MasterCard on file (that you were originally instantly approved for)
If you remove either of these items, you will become Unverified.
Logging into your account won't affect Verification status."

My worry is that this CC about to Expire and the Bank Account being unconfirmed may cause the Verified Premier PP Account to become Unverified?

So it will be okay to do Paypal Balance send/receive as before?
