paypal being weird
 

anyone else experiencing this issue at the moment?

so when I sell something on ebay usually you get underneath it the date your funds would be released before you mark as dispatched, then obviously once you mark as dispatched the date would go down further, and even further with tracking details added.

the weird thing is my ebay doesn't tell me the date, and even after I mark as dispatched & add tracking its still 21 day hold, anyone experiencing this?

pointless me adding tracking info etc now if the dates still going to be 21 days since I sold item

this does happen sadly.

Have you checked the pending section on your paypal account for dates?

If it says 'try again later' then you have to manually open each transaction on paypal and it will tell you the date in there.

yeh even on paypal after I mark them as dispatched the dates just don't go down, I don't want to phone them to query it as I don't fancy waiting 180 days for a few K, ill just need to wait it out.

Yes, You are correct. This is the deal. PayPal is now holding money for 21 days randomly. I had this happen. Here is the way around it. Contact the buyer. tell them You have to cancel the sale because of this. Then, tell them you are going to send a request for the amount. They accept and your funds are instantly available. Ebay loses it 10% final value fee. And here is the kick in the pants folks, A rep from PayPal "told" me to do this to avoid the 21 day hold they are now going to be placing on EVERY USER no matter how long you have been in compliance with PayPal. Totaly WRONG to do. It is unethical. But, this little fiasco, shows this company at its heart. Even its employees hate it.
