Assistance with VPN
 

I've registered myself with a VPN provider and right now I'm having a little play around to familiarise myself with how it works. Where I seem to be stumped is the IP address, In the drop down menu there's options for a few countries, But, There isn't any option for UK
How can I configure my VPN to get an IP either near to my current location or at least in the UK ?

Mullvad, They're a Scandanavian provider

It's possible that they don't have a UK VPN available

If your using this for eBay and PayPal you have to choose your VPN very carefully to make sure the VPN is not overused

Yep. Without them they won't be able to provide a UK IP

Really need to do your homework and research before jumping into things....not sure why you would go with a Scandinavian VPN provider without making sure they provided a valid IP for your Country.

Whilst a fresh IP isn't an absolutely necessity, the least I would say is go with a provider who will provide a dedicated IP. In this case, they don't seem to offer one.

Yeah make sure to get at the minimum a VPN from a company that offers dedicated ip VPNs, sounds like you got a shared plan that's not what you want to get to manage your stealth business accounts with. Shared plans are mostly geared towards people wanting to torrent & watch movies online etc

I sorted the issue with the UK IP address it was just a matter of downloading some files from the mullvad website as far as a dedicated IP address I'll use a socks provider for this month and look for another VPN provider next month

You still really need to make sure that the IP that they have issued to you is decent and not abused

Any eBay or PayPal account you making using a bad IP address is pretty doomed from the start

Thanks James, I'll check the IP isn't on any blacklist, But, I'll probably err on the side of caution and look for another more suitable provider.

is it possible to use uk failover ip from ovh? £2 roughly for setup cost. Link using openvpn.

If it costs £2 to set up then chances are its just not going to be any good.

dedicated server which cost over £50-80 a month which im already paying for. Failover ip for uk ip address is £2 for setup, one off cost. Setup virtual machine or openvz container and connect to that via openvpn.

Has anyone else done this. Seems like a cheaper/stable option than dongle.
