How MP can see the mismatch names
 

I'm really curious of how MP can see the mismatched names. I wrote them a message to confirm in which method they transfer money. They told me it's by ACH. And usually by ACH, normal big banks can accept it without any problem. Only wire transfer has strict requirements on name matching.

For ACH, it'll be the receiver's decision to accept mismatch names or not, instead of sender. As sender, you won't be able to see the name. So in which way MP can see the name doesn't match?

So ebay MP will make a test deposit and request a return from the bank? Similar like how we link our PayPal.

To be honest, I can't remember. The account I have in MP has been in for a while now, and I can't recall the exact process.

I want to say there actually weren't test deposits and it was an instant verification deal.

When did you signed up for MP? Are you still able to use PayPal with your accounts under the MP program?

Yeah I think you're right. The bank decides whether or not to reject an incoming transaction or not. I've had bank rejects withdrawl because of mismatch names and that depends on the bank. But PayPal is still going to be an option to receive payments.
