Question about bank account
 

I did get an EIN, and I began to register for MP. However, when I got to the point of entering bank info, I stopped. My bank account name and my eBay name aren't the same. I see that they have the option to just enter your routing number and account number. If I do that would they be able to notice that the names are different? I know that my bank will accept payments under my eBay account name because I've used it with Paypal.

If you proceed w/ MP registration, a few days later eBay will ask you to "Verify Bank Account Information" by either linking your bank via instant-login, or by uploading a bank document - usually a bank statement.

Can you not just use the business name? If it’s a business bank account I would assume no issues? Even instant login should be fine, it works on PayPal? I don’t have MP, just going off past experience with PayPal

Thank you, but it's not a business bank account. I'm disabled, can't drive; so, I can't easily get to bank to open a business account. I even tried with my present personal account, but they said that all business accounts must be opened in person. I live in a rural area; no Uber, and it's hard for me to find someone to drive me. I'll have to work out something.
