Estimate of when MP will be mandatory for everyone in US?
Hi guys
So does anyone have an estimate of when MP will affect all US sellers and every stealth account in US will have to enter onto it?
Is it true that it's probably going to be sometime in 2021? |

It was supposed to happen by the end of 2020 then they pushed it to the end of 2021.
From what Im reading theyre getting a lot of resistance and are having serious issues implementing it so no way to know how long that will take - if ever.
Wouldn't surprise me if at the end of all this paypal will still be available as a payment method - at least for the smaller seller (which is the majority of stealth sellers from my experience). |

As soon as they make MP mandatory for brand new seller accounts then we’ll have a good idea. I want to say by 2021. |

| I really really hope its at least toward the end of 2021. I just got multiple stealths for the first time, I don't want to lose them in less than 10 months. |

| That's the way its been so far and from all indications that's the way its going to remain.
As for MP itself - I said it several times before: I have a few customers now that have been successful enrolling in it using stealth info. The process required uploading certain 'creatively' made docs. It did not sound overly complicated or difficult so I myself am not worried about it. |

EBay is competing with buy/sell apps that don't require much to use so when they start placing roadblocks in people's way to sell a couple items, they lose people fast. They know the resistance they'll receive so they keep pushing things back. |

When Ebay spunoff Paypal,there is an agreement Ebay cannot pull all Paypal users out at same time,it has to be gradual,but eventually we will all be enrolled in MP.
I have been with Ebay since 1990s and Paypal in 2000? I have been approved for MP,but so far customers are still paying me direct via Paypal |

Got invited, signed up and submitted all paperowrk for MP 2 months ago and they have yet to switch me over. |

I spoke with a MP rep recently and they said MP is "graduating" classes of new employees in batches to ramp up teams to handle the transfer. They just opened international customer service centers as well. The rep said that the end of 2021 is target. We'll see. |

The MP team do not know what they are doing from my experience, they will phone you back but basically do not know what the hell they are doing, putting you on 2 minute holds whilst a supervisor can be consulted, I was on the phone for over half an hour about 20 mins on 2 minute holds. This team is Ayden run and it’s obvious that are using eBay speak that is foreign to them and the systems are having difficulty interfacing, they can not see your eBay sales. Hope it gets better. |

eBay is scummy and everybody knows it by now. Nobody will ever give this shady company their SSN unless they were running a business or planning to start a business, etc... Nobody is going to give slimy eBay their SSN so they can sell their grandpas old jazz records for money to go to camp (99.9% registered sellers).
Calling MP is shameful. These people most likely do not have plumbing in their homes. They have no concept of online buying and selling. |

eBay frequently has targeted marketing about "cleaning your closets for extra cash for back to school" and thnigs like that. Or sell your old phone to get the new phone. Who in their right minds would ever give their SSN to these dirtbags for things like that? Waaaaaaay too many options now. My guess is eBay isn't going to require MP until you get to $10,000 or 100 sales or something like that.
Millions of people sell their old phone or whatever on eBay and thats it. Don't log in again for a year. They will require that guy to give his SSN? Go f*ck yourself. |

eBay are trying to do a clean up of image TOO LATE they will never be Amazon or Walmart, remember it was started because they wanted to sell a used item and that what I use the for to sell open box product I can not sell on Walmart, Amazon or etsy.
For them to try and upscale they need to lose 90% of their annoying customers who send 4 to 5 times more emails than any other selling platforms and abuse the return system that eBay stupidly put in place a few years ago.
They deserve the vero sellers and scammers who come on here and want accounts that make it difficult for the genuine sellers taken down for reasons beyond their control.
I spent 3 days this week fighting eBay on 2 accounts that are performing far well in excess than others which meant my other selling platforms got neglected.
eBay will not be long for me just got to shift a warehouse of open box crap, I am now using Democratic tactics in selling just CANCEL out things you do not agree with or be bothered with. |

I have bought open box items on AMZN recently-Irobot battery for my floor sweeper and other small electronic items.
