2 PayPal Accounts suspended before switch to Managed Payments
 
Hi Folks

I have 2 ebay business accounts one stealth and one legit and the same thing has happened to them, let me explain.

Stealth account was notified of change to MP and I submitted info and got through. Next thing MC011 on ebay account, I got through all the verification, cleared all return cases etc, whilst this is going on I got PayPal account limited, sent them all info, they closed the account. ebay reinstated selling privileges and I put up all some listings and hiked the prices up with no paypal account to pay to. MP date came around and I started selling again.

Legit ebay business account gets MC011, and about 4 days later PayPal limited my account and wanted invoices to prove I can provide the product to customers. Sent those, then they ask me to inform them when eBay account is settled, I informed them it will be within 48 hours as eBay rep from Ireland said that was what it looked like. Next day I miss a call from PayPal whilst in the doctors office and 20 mins later the account was closed.

I am still working things out with eBay sending them invoices, drivers licence, credit card statements and bank statements that should be released soon. They like the account open so they can charge the last invoice through the MP bank account you chose to get paid through

I believe PayPal and eBay are closing business PayPal accounts before going over to MP and stopping sales on ebay with MC011 so that your sales drop before going over, allowing PayPal to hold some funds so its not exposed in the 180 day period a buyer can dispute a payment and refund you find held.

When ebay reinstates verified accounts before going over to managed payments, ebay is happy and PayPal is ecstatic, all risk on the change over is lessened.

A little bit of back story about both accounts, one is top rated seller plus other will be on the 20th, between both paypal accounts there was one case in resolution that I refunded. On both ebay accounts the story is similar and all shipping metrics are good average sale about $50. Also I sell everything legit no knock off or vero on low risk product.

Has anybody else experienced this, its too similar to be coincidental, are ebay and paypal experiencing some financial issues when they switch accounts over and losing money, causing them to take this strategy of fire damage control when changing over small businesses to MP.

Yes. Everyone experienced this. Nothing you can do except give them what they ask for.

In my experience if you can get in contact with someone from the US they can use common sense and lift these kinds of restrictions where it was just the bot and not something you did wrong.

Saturday is an excellent day to call because it is Sunday in the Philippines. Try calling many times. Listen to their voice, you can tell in about 60 seconds if they can help you. You are looking for someone who lives in a house and has actually bought or sold something online before (either in USA or Ireland). If you hear an Indian accent just hang up and try again. Phillippino support is only human chatbots, they will put you on hold for 5 minutes and then read back to you the list of requirements to lift the limitations. They just do not have the basic understanding of what you are trying to do. Good luck.

Try to get USA agent to help you. You might need to call 100 times.

If you can manage to get an Irish rep on the line on a call you have hit the Jackpot, they give you more customer service than anyone and will give you help and information on what to do, great guys. Ok I am biased my mother was born in Ireland.
