Business or Regular Account
 

My eBay account is a variation (one letter) of my name and address (off by one number). It's been working great for me for almost a year. I was recently told I need to sign up for MP by 1/22/21. My fully legit eBay account was suspended about 9 years ago and I believe that there is a balance owed. My question is how do I get signed up for managed payments and not lose this account.

I read that I could covert this account to a business account and add me, with my correct information, as an authorized contact on the account. If I do that do I need to have a business bank account or will my personal account work?

The other option is to add my information to MP without converting to a business account and risk the possibility of the account being banned.

YOu can change to business yes and no, you don't need a business bank account.

You'll need an LLC with EIN registered.

I have an EIN, does that mean its an LLC?
