Any way to have multiple Ebay MP accounts not linked to each other
 

Has anyone successfully set up multiple ebay MP accounts that are not linked to each other. I tried to set up as business with EIN but the next step is asking for SSN too. So what is the point of EIN if it does not replace SSN? Maybe I am missing something. For 15 years I have been selling sporadically over at least 30 accounts and now I am not sure how to go about it.

Unless you get creative or use a friend/family. The reason they ask for both is because ayden is payment processor. All payment processor I ran across require the info due to AML/KYC. Technically you can have multiple companies with same owner. I would just be smart in what you sell. Making sure it’s not digital or risky product. I would just take it slow. The other alternative is to create a new stealth but eventually they will all merge to MP eventually.

Yes the new ebay account I opened requires MP, paypal is not an option. My income is mostly from risky items. When I list non risky items they do not sell even though they are at a fair prices. I sell maybe 1 every 2 months and make like $5. I will have to take chances I guess.

Two accounts with different EIN's cannot be linked because they are separate entities in the eyes of the law. It doesn't matter if the same person owns both companies. For example... Richard Branson controls more than 400 different companies and he gets by fine.

They'll let you run multiple accounts in MP - it's just that dodging taxes by juggling accounts through the year is most likely a thing of the past.

Companies with the same owner/director will be linked eventually. They look at director details.
It would have been possible before 2017 when beneficial owner and shadow directors were allowed to remain in the dark.

can you take an existing steath acct and change steath name to real name, real ss number, real address. and real bank acct. off course using a family real name or my own?

I guess i am the idiot.. i file taxes on the money i make that isn't even reported under my name. Say XXX XXX sells 15k for the year, i calculate it, and put it in my quickbooks and pay taxes on it.

It doesn't work this way in the US. An account operating as "best dogfood LLC" can't be linked to an account operating as "wholesale food for dogs LLC" even if they're run by the same person. They are two different businesses and ebay isn't allowed to punish one business for what another business has been doing.

I'm going on a year now with two accounts in and I've had no trouble at all. :juggle:

Wow by this way unlimited accounts can be run in usa, unfortunately its not the case in uk as director detail are available on public domain

But, isn't the point of stealth to not use your real name? Most had their personal accounts suspended, so wouldn't that link and lead to a suspension?

With MP they ask for ssn for each officer of the company. I wonder if they will link it that way eventually. For me I try my best to avoid any high risk sells keep it below a certain amount per item. You can’t trust eBay not to be bipolar. The roll out of MP was disorganized and a mess imo. As time goes by I feel MP will be more organized and harder to apply for. I might be wrong who knows. You got dot your i’s and cross your t’s once they have your info. ebay will change there policies all the time in order to create environment that works for them. One minute your ok and next your not. Think long term.
