MisMatched Ein/SSN
 

Has anyone created any Managed payments accounts. with a Mismatched Ein/SSN?

As an example
This is an example.

My brother doesn't own a company, but signs up with ebay with my business name. Provide his SSN and my EIN. What happens? Does ebay verify who is the business owner?

It doesn't have to be the business owner running the eBay account, so I think that would work fine.

Pharoz is correct. On my account the SSN# does not match the EIN# holder. I just went through an MC011 with the account last week and passed. They did ask for proof of business registration or EIN and I just supplied the copy of the paperwork that was issued with the EIN#.

AMEX is offering a new credit card for small business,if you have an EIN and spend 10,000 in 3 months,you get 80,000 points,so in 3 months you earn 90,000 points,but there is an annual fee when you sign up.
if you dont like that,you can apply for another card which gives you 8000 points.
Other credit card issuers also have sweet deals,BAC,Citicorp,BBVA,DISCOVERY etc

I see interesting. thanks for the information. I assume by default future linking will be done by the business name/ein etc...

But in this particular case does your brother attach a bank account the matches his name or the business name?
also in case of a buyer dispute on ebay how does ebay hold or refund the buyer: using the bank account linked and will they see a mismatched name?

Ebay account: Person A SSN#.
EIN: Person/Company B.
Who's ID (for Ebay): ?
1099 or taxes: Person/Company B ?

example: So if I use Person A's ID (w permission), and use my company's EIN; the Ebay account will be in their name but my company will receive the 1099. Is this correct?

Yes I would like to know who gets the 1099k? The person who got the EIN I assume.

Further research, but correct me if I'm wrong: The 1099 would be issued by Paypal (or Ayden) to the account holder, who in turn has to report it to IRS. HOWEVER if the account holder then passes that money to you, they can file a 1099-MISC. You would then have to claim that money as income and pay the taxes on it.
MP > 1099 > Account Holder > 1099 to You > IRS.

(The 1099-MISC seems to be a simple 8pg form)

The 1099k would just be made in the name of the business/EIN, like you hinted at in your other post. No need to complicate things like this.

How about going to MP when I'm not USA citizen and don't have SSN. What bank account should I link?

You should use a non USA eBay account because it's going to be next to impossible for you to get and keep an account in USA MP.

Can you still reside in the US and sell/ship out items in the US with a non USA ebay account?
