Went to set up new Stealth and it wants MP as default?
 

Hi guys

so I go to set up today a new stealth account and I noticed on the first listing it has on payments as ebay managed payments as default.

It won't let me uncheck this box.

Is there a way around this so I can just enter my paypal email instead?

I just created a stealth and did a mock listing and had paypal as payment method not MP

Okay than I'm thinking some are and some are still not. Watch if you continue doing stealth account creations you'll have one like I just did where on the first listing page it only has ebay managed payments checked off and no option to provide paypal.

Let me ask you, do you list your first item, then when it asks for phone verification, then for you to link a PayPal for you to add it, correct? Or are you and others putting on paypal before you even list an item?

On the listing itself on the payment part it automatically shows my email and says to make sure paypal email address is correct. This is before submitting

Yup, it was always like that for me too, then I verified phone, and linked paypal and first listing went up. Now on this one it had MP payment from the start checked off and no way to change it or link paypal

same here I wonder if all new accounts have MP from beginning? any one opened accounts lately? 2 accounts on the row MP

Looks like it's starting, inevitable though. I actually though it would have been introduced much sooner for new business accounts.

maybe its just for today on weekends ? any one can get any new accounts without MP ? I don't think they would be that stupid to just turn MP for everyone they will loose allot of money. They have to let new people come in without pressure. What they did is you don't have to do it now only when item sells they will not give you money.

There is an agreement when Ebay spun off Paypal,that someday if Ebay decides to exclude Paypal on Ebay,it has to be a gradual process,the dead line is somewhere in May when everyone will be on MP,so some may be able to keep using PAYPAL until that deadline.

Having the same issue with a slightly aged account that started selling today, only option is MP.

In the last 5 days I open up 10 and all are MP...I skipped thru it but it says that without a bank account I willnt get paid and they will hold the money until I input my banking account

So its safe to say that all new accounts will be MP...get your LLC stuff ready because it looks like MP is here

A temporary one maybe, that's easy at the moment, but given time, and not too much time it seems, there will be no way to avoid MP.

You don't know whats going to happen to ebay tomorrow the world is falling in to depression and wars. MP can be thing of the past. company's can go bankrupt and hyperinflation can happen the way is going. We will deal with it as it comes and where there is will there is a way.
