I've been a regular user for 20+ years. Always had Paypal. In Jan 2021 they said I had to switch to managed payments. I said OK and it started asking for me a lot of personal info. I didn't enter it. Wanted to do some research into why they wanted all this personal info first.
Anyway, in February my wife and I had our first kid. Ebay wasn't even a thought. Half way through March I go back and see my account is suspended and the $462 of stuff I sold in January wasn't sent to Paypal. Guess I need to finish the managed payments signup.
After a chat, they said I just needed to add a bank account and upload a voided check. They'd verify it and lift the suspension.
2 weeks past, they sent me an email saying nothing could be verified, the suspension was permanent, and my account balance would be sent to my state as unclaimed funds.
This seems insane. 20+ year member with 100% positive feedback and they throw me away like that? Is that really how they've decided to manage this? I'm literally in shock at what transpired.

what do you men $462 not sent to Paypal.
If you were accepting Paypal then, there is no need for Ebay to send them,it would land in your paypal account when item is sold

Sounds like you need to call ebay. You will have no option but to give them a checking account, legal name, matching address and SS number.

It sounds like he did open an MP account,it is just that he did not provide the info Ebay is asking from him,so that $462 sales proceeds was sitting in his MP account and cant be sent to a bank account, after x number of days, they forward that money to his state unclaimed funds.
Ebay would not send any fund collected via MP to your PAypal account,it can only be transferred to your bank account

He is past the stage of submitting checking account, legal name, matching addrs and SSN.
Unless you know EBAY Does make exception.
He is better off opening a new account
