Is everything > $600 guaranteed reported to the IRS if they only have last 4 of SSN?
 

For 2021 does eBay MP automatically report your sales to the IRS regardless of how much your revenue is? Even if you only do like $5k in sales and they only get the last 4 digits of your SSN?
Do they report sales from years prior to registering for eBay MP? I have a stealth account that I could register for MP but I didn't report it's revenue in 2020 because it ended up losing me a small amount of money and it seemed like a liability to have to prove to the IRS that I lost money in the event of an audit.

are you sure this is correct info?

My understanding was that this was only on some states now, but might be in full force starting 2022 thanks to dumbass Biden

how can Ebay use just the last 4 SSN to report,they need the entire SSN??

The reporting of $600 starts with 2022 for 2021 the previous thresholds of $20,000 with a minimum of 200 transactions still in effect. I highly doubt Biden had anything to do with this being included into the American Rescue Plan Act but it would be intereting to know which lawmakers squeeze this in perhaps they're from the states that had already lowred the threshold for their residents.
