Upgrading stealth account that has Google Voice # (no issue) to eBay MP
 

I have a stealth account registered a couple years ago that worked fine despite using a Google Voice phone #. eBay demanded I upgrade to MP this year, I just let the account sit and did nothing. If I were to upgrade to MP, should I change the phone # to a prepaid carrier phone number instead of Google Voice or would a sudden change of phone number increase risk of a problem?
I recently had family member's new eBay account with all real details get banned after trying to list our first item - likely as a result of using a google voice # (# originally ported from carrier).

You really need to read this forum. Phone number has nothing to do with MP. They don't even ask for it. Why would you want to change your phone number?

I have been reading that the "we can't verify your identity" error when trying to list is correlated with using a VOIP phone number. Using a Google Voice # resulted in a ban of one of my accounts so it's a worthwhile question. Was it already answered somewhere?

I doubt that it's been answered, because MP does not even ask for a phone number. There is no need to change your phone number before enrolling in MP

Phone number is irrelevant to MP. There isn't even a place to add a number.

What is relevant is NAME, DOB and SS number in the USA.
