Single Member LLC MP Account
 

Hi

The account was opened with another SSN , not my own. I am not in speaking terms with that person anymore and cannot seem to contact them.

Let me know if this will resolve the issue of the 1099 getting sent to that person.

I would register the account under a single member LLC and put the information of the beneficial owner under my own name.

When the 1099 gets sent at the end of the year, will I be getting taxed as a sole prop/single member LLC and the person that opened the account will not be receiving the 1099 anymore?




I have 2 other accounts like this, has anyone gotten linked by doing this in multiple accounts yet?



Is there a better solution to this problem? I am reading that registering the MP account as an S-Corp when signing up might be able to fix my issue.

Is this the same banned account from your thread a few weeks ago or are you just really good at pissing "friends" off?
