Can you put the EIN in the stakeholder's ssn info on Ebay?
 

So I have Ebays under families ssn ,dob and name but I was going to upload the account to business, but you still have to have stakeholder information including ssn. Can I just put the EIN in both the stakeholder's information and the business information sections?

I don't want the family member getting a 1099k sent for taxes if I keep the stakeholder info to theirs. What should I do?

I doubt it would work. They check details like that a lot more carefully than Paypal ever did. You'd probably be hit with an ID request.

They don't have anyone's full SSN for my account. Only the last four and EIN. They seem to be flip-flopping over time, as to whether they require the full SSN or not.

Unless I am forgetting how I set it up, the stakeholder information IS the business information.

It's two different fields.

It is different now that the last accounts I setup but I would change both fields to be exactly accurate. Really no reason not to at this point.

Yeah, not sure wth I was thinking lol.

An interesting thing I noticed is that, after the New Year, it changed the account name over to the stakeholder's name instead of mine (up at the top where it says "Hi, yourname").

And as of right now, the payout email notifications are still addressed to my name. Strange lol

I believe that soon YOUR NAME will be published on all listings unless you have a Corporation or like entity. Single member/Sole will show personal names.

But hopefully that doesn't happen.

I would think if they did that like Amazon does for your account, then a smLLC would show up and not the personal name.

Well here's the thing both sellers JamesNorth and Speeder33 are saying that the accounts they sell, when it comes time you just put your real EIN in both fields. They both are saying this. They said use your EIN in both spaces when the account requires it. Are they purposely lying to sell accounts? I wouldn't be surprised if this post gets deleted.

If they arent lying then this method wont work.

SSN wont pass using an EIN it will get denied.

Probably a short term solution. They are more experienced with this since they've been trying to make it work since MP launched, but, they are also trying to sell you accounts.

It worked with Paypal but I doubt it would work long term with MP. :noidea:

If someone states they know everything on how MP works, I will just say take it with a grain of salt because we're all new to MP
