How to switch from relative's name to my own?

I used a relative's name (with their permission) & kept it as is during the MP conversion to avoid drawing suspicion. Now I realize most people didn't have any issues switching to their real identity during the MP conversion & I regret not having done so.

I was under the impression that I originally registered my relative as an individual/personal account. In which case, I could go the most common route of registering an LLC, then replacing the relative's identity & tax id with the LLC's. But somehow the account is currently showing as a business account with the relative's name listed as the sole proprietor. I'm not sure how this is possible, as I clearly remember having signed up as a personal account. (The relative does not use this account.)

Is there a clean way to do this without risking getting banned? This is an ancient account with thousands of feedback, so I'd really hate to lose it.

I dont think you can,as his name and SSN are on Ebay records,the 1099K will be sent to him and IRS.
Does your relative know he will be getting 1099K from IRS,and he has to report it in his tax return

I took down all my listings upon reaching $600.

I don't even see an option to change account type on my profile.

On the MyeBay summary page, click the "Account" tab
then on the left click "Personal information"

Then on "Account type" click edit on the far right. You should then be prompted to upgrade to a business acct

Yes, if it's not there, then the acct has already been upgraded or was signed up as a business acct upon creation.

Not much else at this time - if you change the info and get prompted for all kinds of proof, there is potential chance of getting suspended - no 100% fail-proof way
