Money is on hold not until the package is delivered.. eBay wants to give buyers some time to see if the item is OK and not return and refund is needed for new accounts.

If the money is still on hold after delivery then you are likely selling a High Risk item or the cost is over $1000. Or could be a brand new selling account

No eBay has a new way of holding funds now for risky items even after providing tracking that shows delivered. The message states “Thanks for shipping your order and providing tracking but the funds will be held until we can confirm the buyer does not have a issue with their order” A FULL 30 DAYS ‼️.. There’s no way around that, even if you contact eBay. So it’s best not to even sell risky items during the probation period. 30 Days would drive me insane. I had this happen 3 times. The longest 30 days ever!!!!

As above, if you sell an expensive item on a new account and deliver it next day you still ain't getting your money for 30 days or so.

Watch this get extended to Amazon-like 90 days as they realise they're now absorbing all the losses and not 'sharing' them with paypal.

It depends on what exactly is written in the transaction details.

Newer accounts have holds ranging from 30 to 7 days despite the fact of delivery.

Properly aged ones clearly state that the money will be released once the delivery is confirmed. And that means not just "DELIVERED" state, but also confirmable address match in the tracking details, and in the order details, especially, ZIP or "SERVICE AREA" (if something like UPS or DHL used). In that case, hold can be removed by providing ebay reps with a shipping label with the full address.

And the most aged ones release money instantly, without any holds.

if its USA account, new sellers accounts first sales will be held for 14 days, even if its delivered in 1 day and track shows it. 14 days or 30 days, depends on product price

I find that its best to print shipping label directly with ebay if you're on a newer account. I tried printing labels on other platforms and entered tracking manually and I noticed much longer wait times for funds
