Can eBay see the name on your bank account?
 

Does the name on my bank account need to match the name on my eBay account? I’m trying to add a bank account but I keep getting an error message (prepaid card) but when I add a major bank it goes through right away. I thought they could only see the name after they make the micro deposits? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

as long as your bank allow mismatch deposits, that is totally fine. There are still a lot of banks you can use.

Stay away from prepaid debit accounts. Major banks and credit unions. In the USA you literally have 10,000 bank options.

Go with mainstream banks, ebay stealth has them listed too and I can see you have the guide.

THen you don't have to worry about mismatched names.

Same question, but for UK banks. Fleabay say name must match but will mismatched Barclays or NW bs account work?

Would this work for my first attempt at MP?

1. Add real account that belongs to me, even though fleabay acc' is in my dad's name (address remains same)
2. Resist request for for ID papers/photo upload
3. If they freeze payment refund buyer and jack it in.

I've never been banned by fleabay, ppal froze money in an old account 'till I verified. That account still in limbo. Would a Halifax account be ok? Can they take back money sent to my bank account?
